Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage only to remember your preferences, including:

Permissions Used

Used only for saving extension settings locally so your preferences remain after restarting Chrome.

activeTab

Allows the extension popup to interact with the currently active Instagram tab when you click the extension, enabling feature toggles and page refresh actions.

The extension runs only on:

No other websites are accessed.

Remote Code

Reel Background Player does not download or execute remote code.

All JavaScript is packaged directly inside the Chrome extension submitted to the Chrome Web Store.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, tracking scripts, or third-party data collection services.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, transfer, or share any user information because the extension does not collect any personal data.

Security

Since no personal information is collected or stored outside your browser, there is no user database maintained by Reel Background Player.
